Growing

Well we had our Vanderbilt appointment last week and everything has pretty much stayed the same.  The whole in her heart has not got bigger or smaller.  The pulmonary stenosis has not changed either.  She weighed a whopping 9lbs 14oz!  The Cardiologist has ruled out her heart issues as the factor of her being so small for her age.  He said he will leave it to her Pediatrician to decide what to do about that!  I am hoping nothing!  He did mention a genetic specialist.  I am PRAYING we do not need to go thru that!  We have enough specialists as it is!  She is just petite, she will take after her Nannie (Mitch's mom, Pat).  We will find out the 24th what Dr. Batson has to say about it!!

She did wonderful at her appointment.  This one she just had to do the echocardiogram which is an ultrasound of the heart.  She has to lay there for 20 minutes but she did good!  She was laughing at the Technician doing the ultrasound.  He did our first one and actually remembered her.  He was wonderful with her!!  He said he remembered her because she is so tiny and her smile!  How sweet!!

Below are just a couple pictures I took the other night.  Ella with Mike and her cousin Seth.  Who is about 14 weeks younger than she is and about the same size!! LOL.  The other is Reyes and Ella!!

Pictures Taken

Well after having to cancel and reschedule Ella's baby pictures we were finally able to get our schedules in sync and have them taken.  They aren't ready yet, it will be a couple weeks.  But I am so happy to have them taken and done with.  Amy Callahan was fantastic and I can't wait to see them!!

We went to Townsend this past weekend with Mitch's side of the family, minus Mike and Pat.  We had a great time and stayed in an amazing house.  The snow was a challenge for us all though. We were on top of a mountain, those who didn't have 4WD didn't make it up.  Lol.  Jason, Beth, Sharon, and Reyes came for their first time this year!  It was nice to have them there.  Below are a few pictures from the weekend.

Ella asleep with her Aunt Marcy.. She slept like that for over 2 hours!

Looking around

Daddy and I asleep in the chair! lol.

Sharon holding Ella Sunday morning.  She didn't sleep the whole time, its just when I took pictures! Lol.

All Moved!

Well I haven't blogged in a very long time.  We have finally moved and didn't have internet for a while.  There has been a lot going on between moving and so on.

Ella has started going to the sitter two days a week, her "Granny" J watches her.  I was very lucky she had room for Ella and I am so happy with her!  Ella has really taken to her and the kids there.  The kids are so protective of her already.  She had been there two weeks and guess what?  Ella has got a cold!! I guess it goes with being around more kids. lol.  We took her to the doctor last week and she had a double ear infection and a cold.  So we have an appointment with the Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist tomorrow!  Even though she is sick, she is still so pleasant and smiling!! :)

We still have not got our family pictures made.  Between us having to cancel, Amy (the photographer) getting sick, and other issues, we weren't able to make them in the old house!!  So now, we are going to Amy's studio on Tuesday the 16th.  HOPEFULLY we will not have to reschedule this one! lol.

Below is Ella sitting in her Bumbo seat again.  She was laughing so hard and just wouldn't stop!!  Mitch's sister, Michele, said she was laughing at her socks... They are funny looking!! LOL

This one is when we got home the other night... Sydney decides she needs to sleep with Ella on/at her feet!

These aren't the best pictures... But since we are finally settled I will have time to start taking more!!  :)

Growing... Moving....

Well Ella Brooke is getting big, so to say.  Not physically but she is changing every day.  Her expressions and smile will make your heart melt.  She is still under 8lbs but her doctors not concerned so we aren't!  I tried to put her in size 1 diapers and that DID NOT work!  LOL.  It was quite funny.  They were huge.  So we are still in Newborn size at almost 3 months old!

She is still sleeping great at night. I think we have got our "schedule" down pretty good.  She normally sleeps from about 8pm-5am.  She doesn't nap that much during the day but I'm happy she is sleeping at night.  We both are happy she is sleeping at night!!

We are still trying to move.. Trying being the operative word.  Every day Mitch has off it seems like its either snowing or raining!  Its taking longer than we thought.  We will get it done though!  We only have a few days left that we can move things!  I wasn't looking forward to moving into the cabin, but a good friend pointed out to me that we will be closer as a family because we will be in a smaller home!!  How true!!  I can't wait to watch my little girl grow up in the cabin.  It was our true "first" home for Mitch and I.  Now we can build some memories there with Ella!  I do hope we wont be there too long though.  As I am sure Mike and Pat would say the same!! LOL.

Have a great week!!

This picture below is of Ella today... She just LOVES her Bumbo seat!! :)
(yes, its on the kitchen counter.  We were standing right there and it was just for the picture! LOL)

11 Weeks and Counting...

Ella turned 11 weeks old on Monday.  She sure is changing every day.  I don't have any new pictures to share with you at the moment.  Hopefully soon.
We are still in the process of moving out of our house and back into the cabin that Mitch built.  We have quite a bit to do still.  Mostly the big stuff and cleaning.  I am thankful the lady who bought our house has let us stay a while after Ella was born.  She is extremely nice and calls and checks on Ella!!  Its nice to deal with some wonderful people in real estate, especially when they buy your house!
We think we have decided on a home plan. It's the Cartwright plan from Donald Gardner.  If anyone would like to see it you can go to DonaldGardner.com and just type in Cartwright in the search.  Its a good size.  Not to big, I'm not a fan of cleaning a large home!! LOL.
Other than that nothing else is really going on!  Oh, Ella slept for over 7 hours last night straight! YAY!! :)
Talk soon!!

Dr's Appointments

I thought I would update you all on Ella's Dr Visits before people hear it thru the grapevine! She had her 2 month shots on Wednesday.  It was hard for me to see her scream.  She had 3 of them in her legs so I guess she did good considering!  Dr. Batson came in and checked her out.  He did hear a heart murmur and decided she needed to have more tests.  He sent us to Vanderbilt Childrens Hospital to have some tests run.  He figured she probably had a small hole in her heart but wanted to make sure.  They scheduled an appt for us and were able to get us in the next day!

So Mitch and I head to Vanderbilt at 6am the following day.  Did I mention they were calling for snow and bad weather, great! lol.  Ella did wonderful at the doctors.  We were there over 2 hours running tests.  She had to sit for over 20 minutes to have an Echo done (like an ultrasound).  She did so well.  They also ran an EKG.  Well to make a long story short she does have a small whole in her heart that the doctor isn't really concerned about.  He said that 40% of infants end up with it and it normally closes when they grow up.  He also found that she has Pulmonary Stenosis.  A very mild case.  Her valve controlling blood flow out of her heart is not performing as well as it should be!  He's not too concerned about this either but he wants to check her out again in 2 months!  So please, don't be worried!
I just wanted to update everyone on here before they heard it from somewhere else!  I didn't want it to be blown out of proportion!! :)

She was very good at the doctor that we stopped and she was able to buy a toy!! LOL.  She decided on a Bumbo seat and also a little snail that rolls, lights up, and plays music! :)

Because she had the Dr's Appt we had to Reschedule Amy Callahan to take her pictures.  Thank you Amy for being flexible!  She is coming this week.  So I should have pictures soon!!
Hope everyone is doing well!
