Growing... Moving....

Well Ella Brooke is getting big, so to say.  Not physically but she is changing every day.  Her expressions and smile will make your heart melt.  She is still under 8lbs but her doctors not concerned so we aren't!  I tried to put her in size 1 diapers and that DID NOT work!  LOL.  It was quite funny.  They were huge.  So we are still in Newborn size at almost 3 months old!

She is still sleeping great at night. I think we have got our "schedule" down pretty good.  She normally sleeps from about 8pm-5am.  She doesn't nap that much during the day but I'm happy she is sleeping at night.  We both are happy she is sleeping at night!!

We are still trying to move.. Trying being the operative word.  Every day Mitch has off it seems like its either snowing or raining!  Its taking longer than we thought.  We will get it done though!  We only have a few days left that we can move things!  I wasn't looking forward to moving into the cabin, but a good friend pointed out to me that we will be closer as a family because we will be in a smaller home!!  How true!!  I can't wait to watch my little girl grow up in the cabin.  It was our true "first" home for Mitch and I.  Now we can build some memories there with Ella!  I do hope we wont be there too long though.  As I am sure Mike and Pat would say the same!! LOL.

Have a great week!!

This picture below is of Ella today... She just LOVES her Bumbo seat!! :)
(yes, its on the kitchen counter.  We were standing right there and it was just for the picture! LOL)

11 Weeks and Counting...

Ella turned 11 weeks old on Monday.  She sure is changing every day.  I don't have any new pictures to share with you at the moment.  Hopefully soon.
We are still in the process of moving out of our house and back into the cabin that Mitch built.  We have quite a bit to do still.  Mostly the big stuff and cleaning.  I am thankful the lady who bought our house has let us stay a while after Ella was born.  She is extremely nice and calls and checks on Ella!!  Its nice to deal with some wonderful people in real estate, especially when they buy your house!
We think we have decided on a home plan. It's the Cartwright plan from Donald Gardner.  If anyone would like to see it you can go to DonaldGardner.com and just type in Cartwright in the search.  Its a good size.  Not to big, I'm not a fan of cleaning a large home!! LOL.
Other than that nothing else is really going on!  Oh, Ella slept for over 7 hours last night straight! YAY!! :)
Talk soon!!

Dr's Appointments

I thought I would update you all on Ella's Dr Visits before people hear it thru the grapevine! She had her 2 month shots on Wednesday.  It was hard for me to see her scream.  She had 3 of them in her legs so I guess she did good considering!  Dr. Batson came in and checked her out.  He did hear a heart murmur and decided she needed to have more tests.  He sent us to Vanderbilt Childrens Hospital to have some tests run.  He figured she probably had a small hole in her heart but wanted to make sure.  They scheduled an appt for us and were able to get us in the next day!

So Mitch and I head to Vanderbilt at 6am the following day.  Did I mention they were calling for snow and bad weather, great! lol.  Ella did wonderful at the doctors.  We were there over 2 hours running tests.  She had to sit for over 20 minutes to have an Echo done (like an ultrasound).  She did so well.  They also ran an EKG.  Well to make a long story short she does have a small whole in her heart that the doctor isn't really concerned about.  He said that 40% of infants end up with it and it normally closes when they grow up.  He also found that she has Pulmonary Stenosis.  A very mild case.  Her valve controlling blood flow out of her heart is not performing as well as it should be!  He's not too concerned about this either but he wants to check her out again in 2 months!  So please, don't be worried!
I just wanted to update everyone on here before they heard it from somewhere else!  I didn't want it to be blown out of proportion!! :)

She was very good at the doctor that we stopped and she was able to buy a toy!! LOL.  She decided on a Bumbo seat and also a little snail that rolls, lights up, and plays music! :)

Because she had the Dr's Appt we had to Reschedule Amy Callahan to take her pictures.  Thank you Amy for being flexible!  She is coming this week.  So I should have pictures soon!!
Hope everyone is doing well!

Back at it!

Well I am back at work full time for the new year! I will let you know how it goes being away from Ella more. I'm already not liking it! LOL.
We had a good New Years Eve. Mitch and I decided to go to a friends houseboat! Mom and Dad kept Ella for the night (which was HARD for us)! We almost left around 11pm and went and got her, but we didn't! She did extremely well there they told us. Slept for about 4 hours at a time, now if she can keep doing that! She is changing so much and smiling all the time. Which will just melt your heart!
We have started moving out of our house. Most of our things are going into a storage building but I am taking a few "comforts" to the cabin! Thanks to Mike and Pat for welcoming us back there! HAHA. Hopefully we can start building soon and not be there long!
I took a picture of Ella this morning on my phone and I'm going to try to post it! She was just smiling away this morning before I left for work!
Hope everyone has a wonderful New Year!

What a Smirk!! :)
