More Christmas

Ella has slept for about 4 hours at a time the last three nights. So maybe we are getting the hang of things! I sure do hope so!
She is doing great besides that. We go next week to get her shots which should be interesting for baby and Mommy. She is so alert now its so fun to watch. Her face just glows and smiles when she sees her Daddy. Its quite obvious she is already a Daddy's girl! We are having professional pictures done next week too for her and of the family. I'm really excited to have Amy Callahan come up and do them. She is amazing. www.AmyCallahan.com.
Here are some more christmas photos!!

Christmas 2009

Well I knew it would be difficult for me to keep up with this thing! Sorry it has taken so long for me to update!
Ella has been growing like a weed and doesn't like to sleep much. Last night was fantastic, she slept from 11-3 then 4-7 which is practically a miracle for us!! She had a wonderful first Christmas...
On Christmas Eve we went to Granny Paulines then we did our Christmas at home. Ella got her first Christmas present from Santa and it was a Radio Flyer Red Wagon. Not a small one either. I will try to attach a picture of it. We spent the rest of the night putting together granny and pa's entertainment center, or should I say that Mitch spent the rest of the night putting it together!
Christmas morning we rushed to Mom and Dads house to do Christmas there. Everyone was there. All us kids and all of Melissa's kids. It was a mad house but a lot better than I expected! :)
We then took Ella to Mitch's Granny and Pa's. We had bought them a flat screen tv and entertainment center. It was from all the grandkids and Mitch's parents. They seemed to be surprised and like it! Their TV was 30 years old!
After Granny and Pa's we celebrated at Mike and Pat's with everyone. Ella got an Easy Bake Oven from Aunt Michele and family. I thought this was more for us than for her!! LOL She also got some age appropriate gifts from Aunt Marcy, Patrick, and Cayds. Nanny and Pa got her a cabbage patch newborn doll which brought back childhood memories!
It was a very long and exhausting day but Ella handled it well! It did take her a little while to settle down and go to sleep.
I'm attaching her Christmas picture that we took in front of our tree. Sorry if you got your cards late, we were cutting it extremely close!
I will try to update more often!

New Baby Dawson and Updates!

Well this past weekend Bettina had little Jon Garrett! (For my family reading this Bettina is a friend from high school and was also my college roomate) Joanna and I went to see them on Saturday and both were doing great! Garrett is going to be a handsome little man. Congratulations to them all!

We are inching closer and closer to Christmas and I am finding it a little difficult to do shopping with an infant! So most of my shopping has been done online. I still haven't got Christmas card out, I'm sorry! I'm hoping to get them out this week so you all can have them before Christmas! LOL.

Ella is doing great. We can tell a difference week by week. She is finally starting to put on weight and filling out (starting to look like her mom! HAHA). I will post pictures as soon as we take some more. I am going to have professional pictures taken after the holidays of her and the family! I can't wait!!
There really isn't anything else going on! I will try to update again soon!!

A Brief Intro!!

Well this is the first blog! I'm excited but also wondering if I will actually keep this up to date. I decided to start this because I have followed my friend Bettina's and I hope my out of town family will be able to see updates and new pictures of Ella.

Family Background:
Our family first started with Mitch and I. We started dating January 1, 2003 and we married on June 23, 2005 at Lakeside Resort in Smithville, on a very HOT summer night. I want to thank everyone who wore tuxes on that day! What was I thinking!! :) It was an interesting couple days... Between my family and their water guns, red socks, and decorating my car oh so nicely, I will never forget that day! LOL. I still have the marks on my car to remember it by! FYI, don't use silly string on a car when its 100 degrees outside. It ruins the paint!! :)

As most of you know we welcomed little Ms. Ella Brooke on the 26th of October! She is a true blessing and I don't know what we did without her. She is 5 weeks old today and those five weeks flew by. She was born at Livingston Hospital, Dr. Terry was her doctor. Her Aunt Marcy was also in the operating room and helped deliver her! She was the first one to welcome her niece into the world. That might give her an edge as favorite Aunt!!

Our first "child" was Sydney. We can't forget her! She will be 5 years old in January and that time has flown by too! She is great with her little "sister" Ella and she seems to be getting use to her. After much aggravation from me (imagine that), Mitch bought her for me for my birthday! She is a wonderful dog and a great addition to our family!

I will try to keep this updated! Wish me luck!! :)
